Ashley Fayth, although only 18 years old, has already released an original CD of such promise that it has been receiving significant local airplay and has led to interviews in the local press. Ashley grew up in Random Island, where she has been living and performing but will soon be moving to St. John’s to attend MUN where she will be pursuing a pre-law degree. Her talents as a performer have already been noticed by other established artists, including Gordon Pinsent, who has called her “a rising star” and local producer Rick Hollett who was largely responsible for the excellent production and musicianship on her debut CD.

Her self-titled CD released in 2004 includes songs that demonstrate strong roots in country music as well as the growing skills of a gifted lyricist and songwriter. Add to this Ashley’s powerful singing voice and you have a very promising new performer, whose music is expanding into new styles and appealing to wider musical markets.
