John Cossar from Burgeo, Newfoundland and Jim Dorie from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia are both songwriters who got started later in life, who write emotionally powerful songs that draw from the depth of their personal experiences. They will join forces in May and June for "Ballads and Barnacles" a tour of Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and PEI.

Engagements for the Ballads and Barnacles Tour will range from Harmony House in Hunter River PEI (May 4) to house concerts and club gigs across Nova Scotia. After May 14th, Jim and John will cross Newfoundland, appearing at the Trails, Tales and Tunes Festival in Norris Point, and presenting their music in concert at Arts and Culture Centres in Gander, Stephenville and Corner Brook, the Princess Sheila NaGeira Theatre in Carbonear and St. George's Church in Brigus. The two songwriters will also be appearing at a handful of other smaller venues in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, along the way. For details, go to BALLADS AND BARNACLES.
